Otherwise, the test fails unconditionally with compilers that do not support implicit ints (a language feature that was removed with the C99 language revision).

Avoid an implicit int. Otherwise, the test fails unconditionally with compilers that do not support implicit ints (a language feature that was removed with the C99 language revision). Submitted upstream: <zmanda#220>
